Diamond Magazine to Feature Naked Harvard, Yale, and Princeton Students
WESTPORT, Conn. — November 12, 2009 — Diamond magazine today announced its plan to release its first official issue on Wednesday, November 18th. This issue, a substantial improvement from last year's Pilot Issue, will feature naked photos and in-depth interviews of students and recent graduates of the Big Three: Harvard, Princeton, and Yale. The US News & World Report ranked these schools as the nation's top three colleges this year, supporting the magazine's mission of featuring intelligent individuals.
Matt Di Pasquale, Harvard '09, created Diamond magazine to inspire men & women to embrace their sexuality in a positive light and to empower the world to be fully self-expressed not only sexually, but in all areas. He wanted to show that even intelligent and accomplished individuals could be sexy and own it. He wanted to spark discussion around sex, to cause the acceptance of sexuality throughout society, and to honor the beauty of the naked human body.
In last year's Pilot Issue, Di Pasquale himself was the only person to pose naked due to difficulties finding models. Still, the issue surprisingly received over 10,000 views in the first three days of it's release. With many requests from fans and a joy for exposing himself, Di Pasquale is making a repeat appearance in this issue.
But this time, Diamond was able to find other Ivy League models to take on center stage. "Nobody thought we could do it," Di Pasquale says. "Many people doubted us. I even doubted the whole idea after many failed attempts at finding models, but deep down, I knew that we could do anything if we put our minds together and worked together as a team to make it happen."
To lead off Di Pasquale, Margaret - Princeton '12 and Gabe Hernandez - Yale '07 are this issue's Diamond Dame and Diamond Dude, and Andrea Smith - Harvard GSD '08 is Diamond's Single Dame. All of the individuals featured in this issue, including Di Pasquale, are all pictured naked and reveal their reasons for doing so and much more in uncensored interviews.
The issue will also include articles written on a range of topics, such as sex, furnishing a bachelor pad, and the current unemployment situation.
A digital sample of the issue, which will be released online for free, will contain at least two photos of each of the models along with brief descriptions and poignant quotations. It will also include a couple of the articles. The complete issue will include more photos and complete bios and interviews and will have more articles. Digital and print versions of the complete issue will be sold online, and 10% of the proceeds will be donated to green energy and nutrition.
